DIGITALISM
Description
Since they recorded their debut song in a studio housed in a Second World War bunker in Hamburg 19 years ago, digitalism has retained the key components of its musical approach. The recipe created by Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi, who aim to capture the essence of time, consists of a do-it-yourself mentality, spontaneous energy, and a low threshold for boredom.
From their explosive debut EP “Ideistic” (2005), in which synthesized, compressed riffs respond to Moelle’s pleading vocals, to their first album two years later, which propelled them to the pinnacle of electro-house, to their 2023 tribute to their racines with the EP “Back To Haus,” Digitalism has never stopped evolving.
Digitalism is always fueled by this musical synthesis, where the backs are gone and the DIY energy is still pregnant, thanks to their influence from Daft Punk, Ennio Morricone, Philippe Zdar, John Williams, and The Cure.
